Server Hardening

Physical hardening – disabling USB drives, CD/DVD drives which could be used to exfiltrate company data or install viruses or malware.

Software hardening: GPOs to limit and control user’s ability to browse the network, use specific applications, browse to approved websites only etc. Services of the server can also be scaled down to the essentials and therein reduce the attack surface for a potential hacker to gain entry to the server.
