About Me

My educational experience lies in the courses I have undertaken over the past 16+ years with Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, CWNA and Linux. I have written and successfully achieved over 20 professional IT examinations over the years which have included my CCNA, MCSE, MCSA: 2012, MCSA: Security, MCSA: Exchange, CWNA (Wireless), Security+, Network+, A+, Linux+ and CCA-V (Citrix virtualization).

I have over 15 years experience working with a large variety of infrastructures, virtual environments, hardware, software and peripheral devices. I have also worked with a number of different network switches, routers and firewalls such as Cisco, Juniper, Meraki and SonicWall.

I have worked with Windows server operating systems from 2000 through to Windows Server 2019. I have managed these servers, built, tested and deployed them, performed route cause analysis on issues impacting performance, upgraded them, migrated them to the cloud and virtualized them.

More recently, in the last year, I have been working with Linux servers, http and apache (Internet services).

During my time in a senior / manager role, I also mentored juniors, I was responsible for developing course materials to teach them new technologies and develop their knowledge skills to a point where I could comfortably hand off project work to them. I have worked on many IT Projects over the past decade, some small scale (such as upgrading VMware hosts or servers) to large scale projects that have a fundamental impact on the way the organization performs business on a day to day basis.

If you are a small business and have such a need, be it on-site or remote, I would be delighted to discuss it with you. Be it server refresh, a virtualization project, migrating servers to the cloud, implementing an O365 solution, or anything else, I would be delighted to help you.
